A home cloud holds your files on a drive, and any single drive can fail. So every install includes a backup plan:
- An automatic backup to a separate drive
- An optional off-site copy, for protection from fire or theft
- A battery backup that rides out short power outages
- A restore test, so you know the backup works
If the unit ever fails, your files are restored from the backup onto a replacement.
